[ Stossel had an old pompous charlatan on his show, a two-bit magician who
[ goes by the handle The Amazing Randi. Now Randi is a scumbag atheist who
[ says there is no Supernatural (i.e. GOD) or paranormal ability that
[ anyone can display or prove. He says he has a One Million-Dollar
[ Challenge.

[ Now, we all know Sollog has been posting remarkable PROPHECIES in the
[ past few years in published articles, in US court records and on his Web
[ Site. His fans have posted his Prophecies from his Site in Usenet. He
[ has hit many Prophecies and has displayed paranormal or supernatural
[ abilities in fore telling the future. You can check court records or
[ archives of www.dejanews.com to see this is a FACT.

[ So, Randi was sent an email stating setup the parameters to judge
[ Sollog's claim of Quake Prediction. It would be to see if Sollog can
[ predict quakes. What is a parameter to judge a quake?
[
[ It's a set of scientifically prestated requirements in order to judge
[ exactly what is an accurate quake prediction. For instance, on our Site
[ we state we will pay anyone $1,000.00 if they can accurately predict
[ where and when a quake over 6.6 will strike and be more accurate than a
[ Sollog quake prediction that hit earlier this year. A prediction that
[ was recorded in a Usenet group about quakes BEFORE THE EVENT occurred.
[ Sollog's direct hit was within 4 days of the date that he gave and
[ within 100 miles of where he said.

[ Is that a big deal?
[
[ Well, a 6.6 quake may only occur 8 to 23 times a year. It's a rare
[ seismic event.
[
[ A seismo professor estimated the Sollog hit at about 10,000 to 1, that a
[ quake that large would strike that close and within that time frame as
[ Sollog predicted publicly.
[
[ So Randi was given the opportunity to set up the parameters to judge a
[ quake prediction by Sollog.
[
[ All Randi did was insult our request. His own challenge states, the two
[ parties must AGREE to Scientific PARAMETERS to judge a claim like
[ Sollog.

[ Randi's reply was state, magnitude, date and location.

[ Since Randi is a con artist who has no intention of paying anyone One
[ Million Dollars (that's my opinion so fuk u too Randi), it is necessary
[ to clearly define what is required of Sollog in regards to what is
[ magnitude, date and location.

[ For instance, Sollog could say in 1999 a quake over 5.0 will strike
[ China. Well, it will occur. So does that make it a hit? Like Clinton
[ says "what is the definition of is?"

[ Since Randi is a slippery con artist that mocks people's faith by saying
[ no such thing as what Sollog has done is possible, and then claims he's
[ been granted all kinds of BS awards for exposing paranormal fakers with
[ scientific parameters, it should have been easy for the asshole Randi to
[ set up acceptable SCIENTIFIC PARAMETERS.

[ Magnitude, date and location is not a scientific test or example of
[ scientific parameters.

[ What is a location?
[
[ In our contest we state a degree location must be given, since the USGA
[ (the official agency that tracks where quakes occur) records quakes by
[ degree measurements. Now a city like Los Angeles covers many miles and
[ many degrees in location. So if Sollog said Los Angeles as a location,
[ would Randi have excepted it? We don't in our contest. Since we need a
[ degree location to then MEASURE how far off anyone is that claims to be
[ able to predict quakes better than Sollog.
[
[ We consider anyone that gets a prediction for a quake over 6.6, closer
[ than 4 days and closer than 100 miles to be more accurate than the
[ Sollog hit we judge by. If you think you can do this, we have $1,000
[ that says you can't.
[
[ So, the scumbag Randi states he wants scientific parameters set up to
[ judge a claim in his Challenge, and then REFUSES to set up such
[ parameters to judge Sollog. That's why I say he's a scumbag and con
[ artist.

[ What a dumb ass Randi is, he asks for someone to prove paranormal
[ abilities and the most famous modern mystic today says sure. But, what
[ is a hit in the contest?

[ If Sollog says a quake over 3.0 will strike on almost any given day near
[ Mammoth Lake, is that a hit?

[ BTW, such a quake occurs almost every day there.

[ So, you can see how date, location and magnitude isn't a scientific
[ parameter as the asshole Randi gave.

[ Is June 1999 a date? Yes it is. But is this an acceptable scientific
[ date to Randi.

[ Is June 19th 1999 a date? Yes it is. But since the USGA records quakes
[ in Greenwich time, a quake hitting an area on June 19th could be
[ recorded as a different date than when it actually struck local time,
[ since the USGA uses Greenwich time. That is why a window of time was
[ asked for. Say 3 or 4 days, since man doesn't have a universal way to
[ record such an event.

[ If Sollog says over 6.6 and a quake hits that is 7.0 where he says, then
[ a scumbag like Randi can say over 6.6 isn't a magnitude.

[ You need to be careful when dealing with con artists like Randi who
[ publicly states he will set up scientific parameters to judge someone
[ like Sollog, and then refuses to do any such thing. That's why I say
[ he's a con artist!

[ If Randi sets up scientific parameters to judge what is a hit or miss as
[ his Million Dollar challenge states he will to judge a quake prediction,
[ Sollog has said HE WILL POST A PUBLIC QUAKE PREDICTION for Randi to

[ Do you accept a degree location as a location and accept 100 miles in
[ variance as an acceptable amount of distance to judge a successful hit?
[ (Since the USGA can't accurately judge the true center or location of
[ deep quakes such a variance is needed. Seems the way a deep quakes shock
[ waves reach the surface by going through different types of rock can
[ deflect surface motion on the earth's crust, and such USGA official
[ locations can then be many miles off.)

[ Do you accept a 4-day window in a date, so if Sollog say June 19th and
[ the quake strikes within 4 days of such a date that Sollog gives, IS
[ THAT A HIT?

Well, there are numerous "credentialed" scientists who
utilize astrology in their worl and lives; many are
astrologers themselves. This challenge hustle must
not be too well known, ot they would put the challenger
in deep debt. The following is news to me. I did not
know that this Randi had manipulates data.
Pete comments: during the late 1970's, George Abel,
head of the college of astronomy UCLA, George Bok,
same situation Arizona U - and Randy called
a press conference where there they all stood
on a stage at UCLA and said they were going to
prove the Mars effect study wrong. This Mars effect
showed the French astrologer had correctly proven
the existence of astrological influences in choice
of profession.
The widespread publicty was too much for Abel, bok
and of course randi - since in one way or another,
all made their living debunking astrology. So, the
study to prove the Mars effect discovered and proven
by the French Astrologer was entereed into with much
fan fare and publicity.
Then, after a resonalbe time had passed - there was
no announcement as to the results of the Abel, Bok
and randi study. And as the press became more insistent,
a result was finally announced which proved the study
showing the existence of the mars effect was wrong.
Much applause by all involved.
Except.
Right about that time - in Fate Magazine - an article
appeared which openly accused those involved in
the announcement the study had proven the mars effect
wrong were liars. They had doctored the data (as is
normal where tax trough grant money is involved) to
show the negative results they wanted. The authenticity
of the Fate Magazine article was attested to by the
fact the author was one of the researchers that worked
on the study to prove it wrong with Abel, Bok and randi.
The guy was there and witnessed the deceit. And what was
even more amazing - even though he was a bonifide present
day scientist - he has enough integrity to insist on the
truth.
Soon the out cry from the press became too much for Abel and
Bok - and they both publically apologized for thier lies and
deceit in saying the study by the french astrologer which
proved the existence of the astrological effects was wrong.
They admitted to doctoring the data.
TO THIS DAY, RANDI HAS NEVER APLOGIZED FOR HIS ROLE IN THAT
DISPICABLE CONSPIRACY. HENCE, ANYONE WHO WOULD TRUST RANDI
TO DO ANYTHING HE SAYS IS NAIVE. Which of course has to
be the truth about the gullible idiots who in any way pledged
one mil to randi. It is a cetainty he is not about to put
it at risk - hence all the fou fau details he puts in the
way of an honest and open contest. His challenge is based
upon randi's total control at all times - and he won't allow
the money (if it exists) to be place in the hands of a
neutral stakeholder - where the details of the contest
are worked out in a fair and equitable manner. Hence,
the one million challenge is just another gimmick by randi
to promote randi - the magician - birth day parties and
other events at a very low cost (in front).
Suspecting
word play on his part, I asked for the definitions of
the terms used in the so-called challenge. Personally,
I accept the meaning of "psychic" as "of the soul or mind"
as it occurs in the Oxford American Dictionary.
